Your Order is Secure

Woods Shop uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information during transmission over the Internet. Our privacy policy insures that your information is fully secure and protected so you can be certain that your shopping experience will be safe. To make purchases from the Woods Shop website, you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Internet Explorer. This protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information while it is transmitted over the Internet.

When purchasing products across the Internet, security of your credit card and other personal details is a primary concern. The Internet is made up of a vast collection of computers linked via telephone wires and data cables. Your personal details may pass through many points before reaching the vendor or “shop”. The concern about credit cards is caused by the confusion about your data falling into the “wrong hands” if you do not take the necessary precautions. Data encryption is a method that helps you and Internet vendors to protect the privacy of your personal information. Encryption “scrambles” data using random mathematical keys which can only be deciphered by the intended recipient. Encryption facilities are usually provided by the vendor or “shop”.

A secure internet environment is typically indicated by a locked padlock symbol along the bottom of your browser window (the status bar). You can check whether your transaction is secure from within your web browser. For Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can adjust your security setting within “preferences”. (for Explorer 5, Internet Options is under the “Tools” menu at the top of the screen). This allows you to set a warning that, will advise you whether a transaction is secure or not. Internet Explorer will show a locked padlock icon at the bottom left hand corner of the screen when you are entering a secure (encrypted) page. The padlock icon is simply not present when a page is not secure. It is a good idea to set the browser to warn you if you are about to send unsecured data.
